Jewish historical monuments and synagogues

We tried to put together pictures of Jewish historical monuments mainly synagogues from around the world.

As many of the European synagogues were destroyed during the Holocaust and many Shuls early in 20th-century in former USSR, postcards are often the only known visual record of these historical monuments.

Most of these synagogues constructed in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries across Europe and the United States. Please send us any available pictures of Jewish historical monuments and synagogues to add our collection. We plan to create online picture gallery from all available pictures.

This is a classic example of the Synagogue in Russia before 1917.
